Peter Escalera, 63, of Brawley, CA passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in Brawley, CA. Peter was born on October 10, 1953 in Merced, CA. Peter attended Brawley Schools and graduated from Brawley High in 192. Peter was employed by Dune Co. and later by Roger Oswald. Peter was a jack of all trades. Always there to give a helping hand. He was a fun loving father, brother, uncle and friend. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Escalera; nephews, Ralphie Fernandez and Justin Saucedo He is survived by his children, Jennifer (Manny) Ruiz of Murrieta, CA, Peterboy (Amy) Escalera of San Bernardino, CA, Stephanie Escalera of Texas and Marky Escalera of El Centro, CA; grandchildren, Eric Ruiz, Aaron Ruiz, Odyssey Escalera Bishop Escalera, and Taliyah Martinez; mother, Delfina; siblings, Martha Cordova, Stella Medina, Jessie Guillen and Victor Escalera; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A mass will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10 a.m. with rosary at 9 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church in Brawley, CA. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley, CA.
