It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter Bedros Sarafian, a beloved father, grandfather, husband, and friend. Peter passed away on October 7, 2024 in Canon City, CO.

Peter was born on June 3, 1939, in Richmond, Virginia, where he helped with his family's restaurant business. After graduating high school he moved to Florida where he eventually started working for Delta Airlines and retired with them after nearly 30 years.

Outside of work, Peter was dedicated to the Lord and taught Sunday school at the First Baptist Church of Pine Hills. After moving to Colorado he was very involved with his church in LaVita. Peter was very proud of his garden. He enjoyed making others laugh and loved to joke around with the wonderful employees at St Thomas-More and the Progressive Care Center in Canon City, Co.

Peter is survived by his wife of 42 years, Rene; his 7 children and step-children, Kendall Fredrickson(John), Robert Sarafian, Bruce Sarafian (Karen) Elizabeth Sarafian Geldmaker (Kyle), Geoffrey Pugh (Tammy), Virginia Ray, Eric Pugh; his 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Alma Sarafian and his 5 siblings.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Samaritans Purse for the victims of storms Helene and Milton.

Peter will be remembered for his generosity, his dedication to family, and his unwavering faith. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
