Perma J. ShiningerWILLARD: Perma J. Shininger, age 86, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the Commons of Providence in Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on August 20, 1931 in Willard, Ohio to the late Carl and Dorothy (Alt) Wenner. Perma had worked at MidWest Industries, Heck Cleaners, Hartensteins Supper Club, L&B Electronics and Schodorf's Ice Cream Shop all in Willard. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard and the 55 Plus Club and a former member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia and volunteer at the Willard Food Bank. Perma loved flowers, gardening, collecting antiques, decorating her home for all seasons and always making her family come first.She is survived by her husband, Roderick "Todd" Shininger, whom she would have been married for 65 years on September 27th; 2 sons, Mark (Viv) Shininger of Dayton and Matthew (Paula) Shininger of Willard; daughter, Marcia (John) DiSilvestro of Tarboro, NC; 10 grandchildren, Lisa Shininger of Dayton, Julie Shininger of Dayton, Abby (John) Pigg of Tarboro, NC, Adam (Jen) Kipp of Arnold, MD, Dr. Alexis DiSilvestro & Dr. Jonas Wilson-Leedy of Roanoke, VA, Aric Kipp of Tarboro, NC, Nick Machiusi & Sean Boulter of Cleveland, Stephanie (Craig) Riley of Marysville, Lukas Shininger & Ashley Beamer of Columbus and Lindsey Buckingham of Willard; great grandchildren, Leah Kipp, Adalyn Kipp, Harker Pigg, Carter Pigg, Elise Wilson-Leedy, Avery Wilson-Leedy, Linus Wilson-Leedy, Isaias Wilson-Leedy, Ruby Wilson-Leedy, Paiten Riley and Parker Riley; 2 sisters, Donna Snook of Attica and JoAnne (Chuck) Kaylor of Willard; 2 brothers, Carl "Tim" (Terry) Wenner of Winter Springs, FL and Michael (Mary) Wenner of Willard; several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Michael Shininger; great granddaughter, Averi Faith Riley and nephew Douglas Snook.Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard with Fr. George Mahas officiating.
