Pauline Marie Curtsinger, 78, of Bloomfield, was granted her angel wings on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Life Care of Bardstown. Her final days were spent surrounded by those she loved most-her family and friends. She was born on Sept. 28, 1937, in Marion County to the late Albert and Anna Marie Newton. She grew up in a loving home and was the oldest of 9 siblings. Pauline soon found love of her own and married Clarence Curtsinger on April 28, 1956. She was a former employee of Jim Beam Distillery. Pauline was a strong follower of the catholic faith and attended St. Michael Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister and helped with CCD classes and the youth groups of the church. She was very family oriented and lived for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was an amazing cook and a fan of the Kentucky Wildcats. Pauline loved traveling with her husband, playing bunco and going to Horseshoe Casino. Her family will miss her phone calls and "Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary" songs. She always found a way to make you smile. Her family will always cherish the memories they have of her. Although she will be greatly missed, Pauline's legacy of kindness, generosity and love will live on through her family and friends.She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Curtsinger, brothers, Carl and David Newton, and sisters, Brenda Sue Newton and Susan Mattingly.Survivors include her husband, Clarence Curtsinger; two daughters, Cindy Fowler, of Bardstown, Missy (Ronnie) Trent, of Bloomfield; four sons, Wayne (Connie) Curtsinger, Bruce (Jean) Curtsinger, both of Bardstown, Jeff (Nora) Curtsinger, Denny (Brittney) Curtsinger, both of Bloomfield; three sisters, Mary Ann (Freddy) Willett, Nancy Mattingly, Judy Satterly, all of Bardstown; a brother, Jerry (Linda) Newton, of Loretto; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great- grandchildren.Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Rev. Jason Harris as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, with prayers at 6 p.m. and visitation after 8 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at the funeral home. Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
