Pauline M. Wickham MizikCumberland: Pauline M. Wickham Mizik, 90, formerly of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Beckett House at New Concord. She was born on April 21, 1927 in Noble County and was the daughter of the late Beda and Marilla Schoeppner.Pauline was a member of the Corpus Christy Catholic Church in Belle Valley and a former member of the Ark Spring Baptist Church. She was a member of the Cambridge Senior Citizens Center and Quilting Guild, Brookfield Homemakers and the Auxiliary of the
Purple Heart #625. She was a fabulous pie baker and loved gardening, canning, playing bingo and she made beautiful quilts for her family. Pauline is survived by three sons, Fred Wickham of Barnesville, Carl (Sandy Bailey) Wickham of Cumberland and Stan (Becky Macenko) Wickham of Lancaster; her stepchildren, Bob (Marilyn) Mizik, Tom (Tammy) Mizik, Jim (Ellen) Mizik, Pat (Barb) Mizik, Janet (Jim) Skaggs, Audry (Floyd) Steed, Connie Mizik; her grandchildren, Fred (Stacey) Wickham, Leslie (Roger) Taggart, Craig Wickham, Drew (Tabitha) Wickham, Michael (Jackie) Wickham and Nicole (Ben) Peters; 12 step grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 15 step great-grandchildren 11 great-great grandchildren; her sister Virginia Brier; her sisters-in-law Carole Schoeppner and Florence Schoeppner; her son-in-law Lynn Hall, and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Pauline is preceded in death by her first husband Ivan Lee Wickham who passed away January 24, 1980; her husband George Mizik who passed away September 7, 2005; her daughter Alice Jean Hall; daughters-in-law Karen Wickham, and Martha Giffen Wickham, her granddaughter Kim Hall Scott; her brothers Alfred and James Schoeppner and her sister Eileen and brother-in-law Andy Kachilla. Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours for Pauline from 4 to 8 pm Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Farus Funeral Home of Cumberland, 343 W. Main Street, Cumberland. Vigil services will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Corpus Christy Catholic Church in Belle Valley, 221 South Main Street, Caldwell, Ohio with Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Ivan in the Ark Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Corpus Christy Catholic Church or Ark Spring Baptist Church. The family would like to thank all the caring staff at both Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell and Beckett House in New Concord for their loving care and friendship.
