Paul R. McintoshPaul McIntosh passed away on Sept. 15, 2017 after a long illness. Paul was born on Nov. 20, 1939 to Nim R. McIntosh and Lennie (Humbyrd) McIntosh. He was one of eight sons and worked with his dad and brothers drilling water wells in the Taney, Douglas and surrounding counties, in the 1950's, 60's and 70's.Paul served in the U.S. Army. He lived most of his younger life in Taney County, in the Bradleyville and Forsyth areas. Paul was an excellent fisherman. When Paul went fishing, he brought home the fish. Paul spent his later life living in Springfield and would walk to the Central Library to read. He had a great love for cats. Paul was preceded in death by his mother and father, four brothers: Richard, Bobby Joe, Ralph, and Charley, four sisters: Geraldine, Goldie, Vivian, and Janice. Paul is survived by three brothers: Robert and Tom of Springfield, and Ted of Leawood, Kansas, two sisters: Roberta Davis, of Sayre, Oklahoma, and Donna Bilyeu, of Springfield. Paul will be remembered and missed. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Ltd., DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory. Graveside services will be Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Helphey Cemetery, in Taneyville, MO.
