Paul Hernandez GonzalesThousand Oaks, CAPaul H. Gonzales, 74, passed away January 11, 2017.He was born on June 1, 1942 In Ventura, California, the son of Paul and Helen Gonzales.Paul married Patricia in 1961 together raising their two children.They later divorced and in 2006, he married Nancy. Both Paul and Nancy have since passed away.Paul was a member of the Labors Local 585 Union for 50 years and with pride displayed his award.He found most joy in spending time with family, family camping trips along with fishing and cars. He enjoyed working with his hands, spending many hours tending to his small garden. It was his garden swing where he spent many hours taking in warm sunshine and visiting with neighbors.Paul is survived by one daughter, Carol McChesney, and one son, Paul (Yolanda) Gonzales. Four grandchildren, Jeffrey McChesney, Rhode Island, Paul Gonzales (Leann), Joshua Gonzales, Sarah Gonzales, a great granddaughter, Elody Miller, one sister Lydia Yanez, five brothers, Eddie, Carlos, Rudy, Jerry and Michael, and many nephews and nieces, all of Oxnard.He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edmund and Frankie.Paul's family would like to thank Tender Loving Care Hospice of Moorpark along with a special thank you to Celia Kamaka for taking care of Paul with love, compassion, skill and knowledge. A mass will be held on January 28th, 2017 at 9:00 am at St. Anthony's Church, 2511 S. C St., Oxnard, CA 93033 with immediate burial at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 N.
