Patrick Ronald Foy of Oscoda, formerly of Saginaw, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, age 82 years. Patrick was born on Dec. 9, 1932 in Saginaw to Frank and Esther (Petrie) Foy. He graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1951 and then he enlisted with the United States Navy where he proudly served our country during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Patrick ventured out and opened and operated his own business for many years, the Saginaw Oliver Company. He later went to work in the sales industry where he enjoyed meeting, working with, and helping people. Patrick was employed for 25 years with Model Coverall in Saginaw. He was very active in the communities in which he lived. Patrick was a member of the Bridgeport Lions Club where he was a past president of the club, a lifetime member of the American Legion, a member of Save Our Shoreline (S.O.S.) and a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oscoda. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Patrick is survived by his wife and best friend, Esther Foy (Doutre), to whom he married in Saginaw in 1956. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Karen Foy of Plymouth Township; one sister, Jane O'Deay of Flushing; sisters-in-law, Roberta Foy of Saginaw, Elaine Foy of Midland, Ruth (Donald) Ciolek of Mio, Kay Vanston of Saginaw and Laurie Buggia of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; special friend and cousins, Richard and Geri McClymont of East Lansing, and Fred and Peg McNatt of Ashland, Ala.; and many nieces and nephews. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Esther Foy; a son, Roger Edward Foy; brothers, John Foy, Ed and Edna Foy and Albert Foy; and brother-in-law, Charles O'Deay.A funeral mass was held on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oscoda with Father Emmanuel Finbarrtizhe officiating.
