Diagnosed more than 3 years ago, Patrick handled this difficult illness with the same courage, perspective and humor he demonstrated throughout his life. He is survived by his parents, Denman Murray Long and Mary O'Brien Long of Shreveport; his wife, Nancy Conway Long, and their four children, Aidan O'Brien, Grace Pickard, Olivia Claire and Gabriel Parrish; six brothers and sisters, Michael (Dorothy), Kevin (Jeanne), Raymond and Brian Long, all of Shreveport, LA, Katsey Long of Jackson Hole, WY, and Caroline Long of Flat Rock, NC. He is also survived by two aunts, Patsy O'Brien of Shreveport and Kay Sanford of Buffalo, WY; seven nieces and nephews; numerous cousins in Shreveport, including Mary Frances Loftus Coleman and Thomas O'Brien, and more in Wyoming. Patrick was born on April 26, 1962 at Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport, LA. He graduated from Jesuit High School, Shreveport, in 1980, and Centenary College, Shreveport, in December 1986. He was married on August 28, 1993, in Jackson, WY, at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart.
