Patricia Lynn JordanJanuary 9, 1929 - March 7, 2013On March 7, 2013 our dear mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Patricia Lynn Jordan, passed away at home after a long illness. She was born on January 9, 1929 in Burley, Idaho. She was born the youngest of three daughters, to John Chester 'Chet' Maughan and Lynn Maughan (Haycock). She spent her childhood in Heyburn, Idaho where she loved to swim in the Snake River near their home. She and her late husband Arnold 'Keith' Jordan married in 1945. They had three sons together. During their many years together Keith's job with the railroad moved them to many different locations, they lived in Elko, Nevada; Pocatello, Idaho; Omaha, Nebraska; Lima, Montana; Southgate, California; Nampa, Idaho; Glenns Ferry, Idaho; Salt Lake City, Utah. After retirement, they resided in Pocatello, Idaho and Alpine, Wyoming. Patricia loved getting together with friends to play Bridge, she loved watching college football, doing crossword puzzles, and reading novels. After retirement, Keith and Pat spent a lot of time camping in their RV, golfing, fishing, and traveling with Patricia's sister and husband, Jeanne and George. She will always be remembered for her love of family and her delicious cooking, which she always credited to her mother for teaching her.She is survived by her son Michael Jordan (Julie); her son Scott Jordan (Elizabeth); her five grandchildren, Joy, Steven, Nathaniel, Taelor, and Jacob; her seven great-grandchildren; her sister Jeanne Pullman (George); and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith; son, Ron Jordan; parents Chet and Lynn Maughan; and her sister Maxine Maughan (Holmes). The family would like to extend a special thank you to all caregivers that helped with Patricia during her illness.Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 15th Ave. and Clark Street, Pocatello, on Saturday March 16, 2013 at 12:00 Noon. Visitors are welcome at 11:00am and invited to a luncheon immediately following the memorial service. Any donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to Shriner's Children Hospital .
