Patricia GreenshieldsPatricia Greenshields, 79, of Ramsey, NJ passed away at the Villa Marie Claire Home on 23 May 2017. She was born on 16 November 1937 in Springfield, IL. She and her husband were married on 10 August 1958 in the chapel at Blackburn College, Carlinville, IL. Patricia was an active member of her community and church, serving as Deacon for many years. She was beloved for her bright personality, abundance of selflessness and beautiful smile which will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Her commitment to giving to others made the community a far better place. She made beautiful all that was around her with selfless acts of support to everyone. This is true not just in the church but in her job, her husband, her children and anyone who had the honor to meet her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Esther Shirley, and is survived by her husband John R., children John M. and wife Nancy, Michael and wife Lisa, Sheryl and husband Tom, brother Richard Shirley, grandchildren Jack and wife Kelly, Kim, Mike, Rory and Rio. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Deacons of the First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey, 15 Shuart Lane, Ramsey, NJ 07446.
