Patricia (Patz) Osborne, age 71, passed away peacefully in her home during the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 14th, 2021, in Rockford IL after a short illness. She was born October 1st, 1949, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Lawrence (Jim) Wheelock and Alice Wenckas.

Patz is survived by her three children and their families, Todd Praneis and fiancé Priscilla, Pete and Natalie Osborne, and Kirsten Osborne. Grandchildren; Logan Praneis, Sam Praneis, Natalie Praneis, Nesta Barbee, Olivia Osborne, Ruby Osborne, Hailey Robins, Adeline Robins, and Zachary Osborne. She is survived by her brother Michael and sisters Sue, Colleen, and Stephanie, and predeceased by her sisters Connie and Cindy.

Patz lived a life to the fullest; having lived in Tennessee, Iowa, Colorado, Wisconsin, and Oregon but spending most of her time in Rockford IL. She was an avid painter, exploring new techniques every day and sharing that love for the arts with her grandchildren. Her personality was as bright as the clothing that she wore; spending most of her time in bright yellows and greens. Patz’ green thumb was hard to beat, and she always had amazing vegetables to share with the family.

She was a beacon of light, love, and positivity. In her presence, you were blessed with these warm and encompassing feelings.
