Pamela Sue Hahn (Lohan), 57, of Wilton Manors Florida, died unexpectedly on November 7, 2016 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Daughter of Fredrick and Helen Hahn of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Pamela was born on October 22, 1959, in Arlington Heights. She moved to Florida in 2004 after living in Chicago for forty years. Her many interests included gardening, travel, and the opera; she held season tickets to the Lyric Opera for many years; and was known around Hyde Park for her impeccably kept garden. She was especially proud of earning an MBA from the University of Chicago, and had a lifelong passion for learning. Pamela's love of travel took her around the world, including sailing a small boat across the Atlantic in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Columbus' expedition, as well as to dinner at the White House. Pamela is survived by her children, Carsten and Helen, who she loved dearly, and her siblings Thomas, Steven, Fredrick, Cynthia, and John, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SOS Children's Villages, a worldwide organization of foster care neighborhoods for children (
sosillinois.org, or,
sosflorida.com). A celebration of Pamela's life will be held in the Spring. Pamela will be interred beside her parents at Memory Gardens in Arlington Heights.
