Pamela G. McIntosh, age 61, of East Tawas died on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at her home after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 17, 1949, in Royal Oak. After graduating from Riverview High School, Pam attended Central Michigan University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in education. Her teaching career spanned nearly 30 years in the Alcona and Oscoda school districts. Pam married Roger D. McIntosh on Sept. 15, 1993, in London. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed all sports. Pam also enjoyed to cook, care for her property and she was well known for her positive outlook on life. She is survived by her husband, Roger; two stepdaughters, Susan (Mike) Volk of East Tawas and Margo (Dale Brock) McIntosh of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Lauren and Andrew Volk; sister, Bonnie (John) Temple of Chelsea; brother, Gary Rye of Ypsilanti; and four nieces and nephews, Joscelyn Atkinson, Noelle Temple, Megan Rye and Mariah Rye. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 24, at 11 a.m. at Buresh and Kobs Funeral Home in Tawas City.
