Oran Joseph BreauxBROUSSARD - Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Oran Joseph Breaux, 67, who was called to his heavenly home September 2, 2017 at Lafayette General Medical Center.Services will be conducted by Fr. Thomas James, SVD.Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.Oran Joseph Breaux was born on October 5, 1949 to the late Earl Breaux and Ruby Gerard. He was a lifetime resident of Broussard, Louisiana. He was a painter for 20 years, and after that he owned his own Landscaping business. Oran accepted Jesus Christ as his personal lord and savior, and continued on his Catholic journey until his death. Mourning his departure yet cherishing his memories are his fiancé, Geraldine Batiste of Broussard; a daughter, Alicia Breaux and son- in-law, Bennie Guevarra; a son, O'Ryan Rudd and a daughter- in-law, Kelli Brailey; a granddaughter, Haven Guevarra. He is also survived by five sisters, Mary Hunt of Kansas City, KS; Merline Hodges of Lafayette, LA; Ruby Breaux Parks of Blue Springs, Mo; Judy Broussard of Scott, LA; Ruth Bullock of Lafayette, LA; One brother, Huey Breaux of Broussard, LA. Oran Breaux was loved by many people and admired for his loving and caring personality. He will be truly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Breaux and Ruby Gerard Breaux; two sisters, Shirely Sassau, Enola Simien; three brothers, Pat Breaux, Lester Breaux, Nolan Breaux.Visitation will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 7:00 a.m. until time of service.
