Today we mourn the loss of Opal Rains, born July 10, 1940. Opal was a beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband William Rains and son Richard Rains. 

Opal is survived by her six sons: Joshua, Ernest, Theodore, Kenneth, Thomas and William. She was also blessed with 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who were the light of her life. 

Opal had a beautiful spirit and was known for her kind heart and generosity. She dedicated her life to caring for others and had a knack for making everyone around her smile. Her love of family was evidenced in all that she did. 

She will be remembered fondly by those who knew and loved her. Though she is gone too soon, we can take solace in knowing that she is at peace in Heaven and will never be forgotten. May she rest in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ forevermore.
