Norman "Dino" Jackson, 70, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 in Yuma, AZ. He was born on November 15, 1944 in Winterhaven CA.Dino retired from Yuma Proving Ground after 25 years of service. He graduated from San Pasqual High School in 1962. He enjoyed sports, played with the "Dust Devils" baseball and basketball team. He enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos. He pets Ben, Jerry, Mandy and Baby Cat were special to him.Dino is survived by his daughter, Rhonda and Christina (Malacah); son, James Sr. (Maria); sisters, Eva Salcedo; brothers, Mike Jackson Sr. and Edmond Jackson III; aunt, Louise Tannemheimer; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Jackson; father, Edmond Jackson Sr.; brothers, Eugene Jackson, William Jackson, Steve Jackson, John Jackson; sisters, Vivian Jackson; Lorraine Williams; great grandsons, Keshaun Jackson and Creed Escalanti.Visitation will be at Yuma Mortuary on Friday, January 16, 2015 1pm. Services will be held at St. Thomas Mission on January 16, 2014 at 4pm. Tribal rites ceremony to follow beginning at 5pm at the Big House with cremation, Saturday morning January 17, 2015.Pallbearers will be Richard Williams, Rene Williams, Donald Salcedo, Ronald Salcedo, James Jackson Jr., Dion Jackson, Mike Jackson Jr. and Willis Hawkins Jr.Honorary pallbearers are Ladd Bouts Sr., Jack Bouts Sr., Louis Robles, Zion White, Charles Escalanti, Keeny Escalanti Sr., Doug Osborne, Norman Osborne and Gordon Osborne.
