BRIONES, Norman Dexter "Coach Norm",45, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. He was born on January 31, 1972 in Harlan, Kentucky. Coach Norm was a medical sales rep for Boston Scientific, a 1994 graduate of IU with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology where he was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity, a 1990 graduate of St. X High School, and St. Margaret Mary School. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, coached little league baseball where he was the head coach of the Monarchs travel baseball team for many years. Coach Norm was an avid UK and Miami Dolphins fan. Most of all Coach Norm was a loving husband and father who loved to spend time watching movies with his family.Coach Norm is survived by his wife of 18 years, Shelly Kopas Briones; children, Kaitlyn Michelle, Carson Dexter and Camden Anthony; parents, Drs. Voltaire and Fe Briones; sister, Dr. Valerie Briones-Pryor (Matthew) and brother, Attorney Justin Voltaire Briones (Joanne).Funeral mass will be at 12 Noon on Monday, September 25, 2017, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1000 N. Beckley Station Road. Entombment will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
