Vetsch, Norma TheuneNorma Theune Vetsch, 85, of Redding, California, passed from this life on Sunday, February 12, 2017, at Marquis Shasta Rehabilitation Center. Norma was born on September 24, 1931, in a house between Oostburg and Cedar Grove, Wisconsin in the township of Holland. She was the daughter of Clarence and Ida (Veldboom) Theune. She attended Weeden Station Grade School and Central High School in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.Norma married William Earl Vetsch on February 4, 1950, in Sheboygan, WI. They were married for 65 years before he proceeded her in death in July 2015.Norma is survived by her four children: Gary (Jeniffer) Vetsch of Reno, Nevada; David (Sally) Vetsch of Redding, California; Deborah Reed and Julie (Thomas) Watson, both of Odon, Indiana; eight grandchildren - Edward, Harley and Violet Vetsch, Sarah (David) Watts, Suzanne (Chris) Macaluso, Andrew (KatLyn) Watson, Hannah (Zach) Lyon and Susanna Watson; and five great grandchildren.She is also survived by her sisters, Lucille Fleck Karstaedt, Plymouth, WI; Jean Hoftiezer, Hingham, WI; Eileen (Wayne) Casteel, Glenbeulah, WI; Carol (Andrew) Molkenthine, Plymouth, WI; and her brother, Lyle ( Kaye) Theune, Plymouth, WI; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and sisters in law - Howard & Delores Theune, Gerald and Dolores Theune, Donald and Elsie Theune; three brothers in law - Joseph Fleck, Melvin Karstaedt, and Herbert Hoftiezer.William (Bill) and Norma moved to California in 1954, living in Norwalk and LaMirada for 32 years combined before moving to Redding, CA, on Christmas Day in 1986. Norma was a member of First United Methodist Church in Redding. She had many hobbies which included recycling old greeting cards into new ones, sewing potholders for the church bazaar and hygiene bags for One SAFE Place.Donations in Norma's memory can be made to One SAFE Place, 2250 Benton Drive, Redding, CA 96003 or the First United Methodist Church, P.
