Norma L. (DeWeese) McCaskeyDearbornNorma Lucille (DeWeese) McCaskey died peacefully at her residence in Dearborn, Michigan on December 18, 2016, at the age of 90.Norma was born on August 13, 1926, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Jesse and Florence Williams. She cherished her two sisters, Gertrude and Helen, and the "Williams Girls" were inseparable throughout their lives. Norma was a proud member of the UAW and retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Norma loved to bask in the sun whether at the beach in Florida, poolside at her home or on a boat at the cottage. She enjoyed her arts and crafts, from glass work to ceramics and especially, her collection of porcelain birds. She had style and class and will always be remembered as "foxy grandma" to her family. Her greatest passion was her family. She was a fun-loving, gentle and generous mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and confidante to all of her family and she will be dearly missed.Norma is survived by her sister, Gertrude Stierley; her daughter, Kathleen (Jack) Hart; her son, Joseph (Lynn) DeWeese; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Curtis McCaskey and her sister, Helen Bradley.A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Condolences can be sent to jnkhart@gmail.com.
