SMITHNorma M. Norma M. Smith, age 82, of Temperance, MI, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long illness of pulmonary fibrosis, on Thursday, November 17, 2016. She was born on February 21, 1934 to Garfield and Eva (Pottmyer) Harris in Toledo. She attended Ohio School for the Deaf in Columbus, Ohio. Norma was a member of St. Pius X, the Toledo Deaf Club, Fraternity Auxiliary and the Toledo Deaf Bowling Team. She loved to travel, play cards, garden, and bowl. Norma loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Norma is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Harry R. Smith; children, Robert J. (Tina), Raymond J. (Christine) and Eva M. Smith; grandchildren, Melanie Smith, Kelsey Smith and Kayla Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Harris and Robert Harris; half-sisters, Helen Kistner and Ruth Shore.The family will receive guests on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
