Nora Frances Martin "Frances" of Loveland, passed away on October 28, 2016, surrounded by family. She was 77 years old. Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Frances Burt was born on December 9, 1938 to W.K. and Mamie Burt in Moultrie, Georgia. She graduated Moultrie High School in 1956 and then attended the airline division of Central Technical Institute of Kansas City to become a teletype operator. There, she met her husband who was studying to become an electronic technician. Frances and Darrel Martin married in the winter of 1957. The couple moved to Texas where they had three daughters: Dorothy, Linda, and Carol; after the birth of their son, James, the family settled in Loveland in 1967 where they made Colorado their home. Frances was a devout member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Parish throughout her life. She enjoyed crocheting, square dancing, travelling, and spending time with her family. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Darrel Martin, and three of her children Dorothy Remus, James Martin, and Carol van der Hoop. She is survived by her brother J.M. Bradley, her sister Mary Garner, daughter Linda Richardson, 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Frances was always there to provide guidance, love, and support. Visitation will be held 5-7 pm on Wednesday, November 2nd at Resthaven Funeral Home 8426 S Hwy 287 Fort Collins, followed by a 7 pm Recitation of the Rosary. Funeral Mass will be held 10 am Thursday, November 3rd at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Parish, 1730 W 12th St, Loveland. Inurnment Resthaven Memory Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Parish, in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
