Nita “Tootie” Wilson, 76, of Shallotte, North Carolina, passed on January 18, 2022. Nita “Tootie” was born on August 05, 1945 in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late William and Rachel Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Don Wilson and sisters Shirley Ann Bell, Bertie Ashby, Billie Wilson and Sue Plyer.

Survivors include her daughters April Winch, Laura Benzian and Jada Atkinson; sons Billy Ferris and Steve Mealy Jr.; nieces Rebecca McRorie, Kristen and Michelle Kephart, sisters Rita Neal, Rachel Hundley and Darlene Dellinger; grandchildren Donease Ferris,Brittany Ferris, and Daniel Benzian.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 22 at the family's home.
