O'Leary, Nedalka A. "Babe"Nedalka A. "Babe" O'Leary, age 95, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at St. Mary's.She was born on November 6, 1921 in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Seatovic) Vujasinovic. Nedalka was a graduate of Minerva High School on June 1, 1939. She enrolled at the People's Hospital from 1940 - 1943 and took the state board exam in Cleveland, Ohio where she became a registered nurse. On August 23, 1943 she enlisted in the Army Air Force - Army Nurse Corps. She was stationed at numerous bases which included Biloxi, MS., Cochran Field, GA., Greensboro, NC., Stuttgart, AR., Maxwell Field, AL., and Truax Field, WI. She was awarded the American Theatre Ribbon and the Victory Medal. She honorably served and was discharged on December 14, 1946 as a First Lieutenant. After serving her country, she worked at Holy Family Hospital; Two Rivers Hospital; St. Vincent and St. Mary's Hospitals in Green Bay; Maple Crest TB Sanitarium as Director of Nurses; Hamilton Home, Two Rivers; St. Mary's Home as Director of Nurses and during her early retirement years as admissions for the Felician Village office. On November 6, 1945 she married the love of her life, Gordon "Bud" O'Leary. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1992.Survivors include three sons and two daughters: John (Joan) O'Leary with their children: Amy (Darren) Derricks and their children: Alana, Brooklyn, Devon; Bridget (Eric) Derge and their children: Noah, Lily; Patrick (Tracey) O'Leary with their children: Delaney, Chris (Sarah) Gehrt and their child, Charlie; Brian (Kelly) Gehrt and their children: Brynn, Raegen; Adam (Miriam) Gehrt; Sally (Mark) Wolbert with adult son: Ryan (Nicole) Krause and their children: Owen, Isabella, Lium, Olivia; James (Andrene) O'Leary with their children: Marissa, Ashley (Jon) Profita; Mary (Thomas) Meyer with their children: Zachary (Erin) Jansky with their child: Jake; Joshua Jansky, Kylie Jansky, Kayla Jansky, Brock Meyer and one sister: Helen Schneider, Sunrise Beach, MO. Numerous family and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by their unborn child, Brian Joseph in 1962; and three sisters: Mildred Sousley, Dessy Marett and Donna (Dowling) Brown.Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Blessed Angela Chapel at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Gerald Foley with burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Maple Grove.The family will greet relatives and friends at Blessed Angela Chapel at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, from 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017 until 11:45 a.m.Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting
