SIDNEY — Naomi Elnora Wildermuth, 87, of Sidney, passed away Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. at Dorothy Love Retirement Community.
She was born on Sept. 3, 1929, in Salem Township, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clifton and Mildred (Fogt) Steenrod.
On Sept. 15, 1948, she married Herbert Gene Wildermuth, who survives her along with their son, Steven (Jodie) Wildermuth, of Sidney; four grandchildren, Amy Wildermuth Peltier, Angie Wildermuth Rogers, Karen (Chad) Monnier, Kyle (Angie) Wildermuth; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; four siblings, Sara Regula and Janice Burch, both of Jackson Center, Larry (Jean) Steenrod, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Jerry (Barb) Steenrod of Toledo.
She was preceded in death by one son, William Wildermuth; two brothers, Don and Bob Steenrod; and one sister, Carol Ann Steenrod.
Mrs. Wildermuth was a graduate of Jackson Center High School. She worked for Copeland for 25 years. She was a 20 year member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church in Anna. More than anything, Naomi enjoyed her family. A special thanks to the Dorothy Love staff, Wilson Hospice and the Rev. Michael Althauser for their compassion and care.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave., with the Rev. Michael Althauser officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
