Nancy L. Stark RACINE Nancy L. (nee Anderson) Stark, 84, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, January 23, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on August 11, 1930, the daughter of Chester and Elizabeth (nee Olle) Anderson. Nancy was a lifelong member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church. She lived a very active life, participating in all sports, including basketball, softball, bowling and swimming. The highlight of her softball career was when she participated in spring training with the Racine Belles in 1948. Nancy was the owner and operator of The Living Room, until her retirement in 1993. Surviving are her son, Bradford Stark; daughters Elizabeth (Dennis) Homolka and Cynthia Putz, all of Racine; grandchildren Kai Eric (Molly) Jensen, Adam (Kate Kloss-fiancé) Jensen, Jacob (Katie) Jensen, Nicholas (Emily) Putz, Brian Putz, Beth (Tim) Schram and sister-in-law, Genevieve Midge Anderson. She is further survived by great grandchildren KC, Alex, Stella, Ethan, Elijah, Garrett, Gabby and Gunnar. Nancy is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends, especially Veda VanAllen and Rose Zicarelli. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings (Jimmy, Bernice, Bucky, Marge and David) grandson David Putz II, and former husband Robert Stark. Nancys memorial service will be held at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 2000 W. 6th Street on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mark Doidge officiating. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Nancy in a special way may direct memorials to Holy Communion Lutheran Church.
