RACINE - Nancy, Fidler, age 86, peacefully passed away at Artisan Assisted Living in Mount Pleasant on Friday, June 5, 2015. She was born on December 11, 1928 to Gus and Coreta (Nee: Peters) Kutzner in Racine where she spent her entire life. Nancy graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in teaching and remained a diehard Badger fan until the very end. On June 7, 1952 she was married to Myron Mike Fidler and they celebrated 54 years together until his passing on March 9, 2009. She enjoyed watching the Packers, antiquing, reading, and counted cross-stitch. Her happiest times were spent at their 2nd home on Kangaroo Lake in Door County with her husband and daughter, Jodi. Nancy worked at St. Marys Hospital, Telephone Answering Service, and St. Lukes Hospital until her retirement. She is survived by her daughter, Jodi (fiancé, Arnold Toby) of Mount Pleasant; brother-in-law, Ray (Sue) Fidler of Laurinburg, NC; and many loyal friends and special caregivers. She was cremated and laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery. There was no visitation and services were private according to her wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice Alliance, Pleasant Prairie, WI. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Gullberg, Dr. Short, and Dr. Bergs for the special care they provided to mom. Special thanks to Denise Wright and the staffs at Artisan Assisted Living and Hospice Alliance for the tender care she received to keep her comfortable and at home.
