She lived most of her life in Louisville, with the exception of the four years at Hanover College in Madison, Indiana, from which she earned her B.A.Nancy spent most of her life raising her children and caring for many other people. She was a wonderful mother and a friend to many. She particularly cherished the friendships she made at Greathouse School and Atherton, where a close-knit group of friends formed lifelong bonds as the "buzzin' dozen." Her talent for friendship was exceptional; she made and kept friends throughout her entire life.Nancy was a wonderful cook, an accomplished gardener, and a life master at bridge. She loved art, literature and music, and taught her children to love them too. She was an avid traveler, and visited places all over the world in the company of family and friends. She was very active in her church, Calvary Episcopal, and served on its vestry. She was the life of every party, loved meeting people, and never stopped learning.
