Myrtle Lois Reeves "Mert" Blankinship was born on March 11, 1939 in Houston, TX to the late Bill and Myrtle Reeves. She passed away on March 26, 2013. Mert had one sister, Alice Mae Reeves Fink, who is also deceased. Left to cherish her memory is her nephew, Kenneth Roy Essman and wife, Shannon and children, Cory, Brittanie, Kendra and Kenneth Wayne; niece, Rebecca Ann Essman and children, Shellye and Brandon Burns. Mert had a special relationship with her double 1st cousins, Charlotte "Charly" Reeves Dempsey and husband, Don and daughter, Brandy Dempsey and her children, Ryan and Zoe and Margaret Reeves and children, Kaaren Hataway Lucas and Scott Hataway. Also left to mourn her loss are special friends and family of the heart, Shane, Kim and Dennis Allen, Robby Wallace, and Daniel Hartley. The Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013, 10-11 AM at Rosewood Funeral home in Humble, TX. The Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013, 11 AM at Rosewood Memorial Park.
