Muriel Mae Rice (Peck), born on May 3, 1931, in Bruce Crossing, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, in Sebring, Florida, at the age of 93.

Muriel was a beloved daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Bill Rice. A dedicated elementary school teacher for many years, Muriel touched countless young lives with her patience and kindness.

An avid golfer and card player, Muriel cherished her weekly games with dear friends and looked forward to outings for fish fry Fridays. She had a deep appreciation for nature’s beauty and spent her summers in Iron Mountain in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and her winters in Sebring, Florida—always chasing perfect weather.

Muriel was truly one of a kind. Her warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was known for her boundless love for her family and her ability to make those around her feel special and cherished.
