Monica Young, beloved daughter of John Jordan and Rachel P. Young, passed away on February 13, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson,  MS. She was born on July 22, 1976, in Crystal Springs, MS.

Monica Young leaves behind two loving children, Jaylon Young and Destinee Young. She was also a proud grandmother to Emmy Marie Young.

Monica attended Crystal Springs High School and graduated in 1994. She then continued her studies at Devry University to receive her Doctoral degree. Monica had a successful career at the University of California San Diego as a medical billing & coding administrator. She was a proud member of Greater Peace International Ministries.

Monica will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and infectious laughter. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
