Her parents, John Shelton and Jan Vega, describe her as the light of their lives and a blessing they will always be grateful for.
Baby Monica was born at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., weighing 8lbs 8oz and measuring 19 inches long. Since her birth, she had been growing and thriving under her parents' care and the guidance of her pediatrician.
However, baby Monica's life on earth was cut short due to a sudden and unexpected illness that took her too soon. Her passing has left a profound hole in the hearts of her loved ones and those who had the privilege of knowing her.
