She was born on August 13, 1968, to her mother Tressie Ross, and grew up in Kansas City. Michelle attended Central High School, where she graduated in 1985.

Michelle had a deep love for reading and spending time with her family. She was a dedicated mother to her two children, Keith Burks and Kristacia Tally, who meant the world to her.

In addition to her children, Michelle leaves behind four grandchildren, who brought immense joy into her life.

Michelle will be remembered for her vibrant personality, contagious laughter, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the local library in honor of Michelle's love for reading.
