Michelle Renee Kalell-Tristan, age 53 of Toledo; Ohio Peacefully passed away Friday September 9th 2016.

Michelle, known by her loved ones as shelly, was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 19th 1963. She was one of 7 children born to Mike and Martha Kalell. She attended Woodward High school and later went on to gain an Associate's degree from Owens community college. Michelle met John Tristan and they wed on July 31* 1988. Michelle and John were married for over 20 years and shared 6 children including some from previous relationships whom they raised together as their own. After working a number of jobs most memorable being Inky's, she landed a career with the City of Toledo at the water reclamation plant. She loved her job and everyone there loved her as well.

She was the sunshine of every room and her personality was incomparable. Her voice carried an everyone knew when she was close. Having been through so much in her life she still knew how to make light of every situation. She knew the answers to every question you could think of and she could make a four course meal out of nothing. Extremely generous, she would give the shirt off of her back to a complete stranger. Her favorite things to do were camping, site seeing, going to the casino and being with her family. She also liked Nascar, movies, country music and cookie jam.

Michelle had many people outside of family whom she loved dearly most importantly, her soul mate James shattuck, former husband John Tristan, boyfriend Marlon Warren, and many other friends she met along the years. She knew how to make a random stranger feel like family. Her laughter and spunky sense of humor were contagious and will be sure to leave a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Michelle was predeceased in death by her father Mike Kalell. She was survived by her children: Erika Barto, Jack Barto, Mandi, Alicia, Johnnie & Maria Tristan. She also left behind her Mother : Martha Ann Kalell ,6 siblings including: Susie, Marie, Michael, DeAnn, Danny, Tony: & 14 grandchildren whom she all loved dearly.

Celebration of life and final goodbye service will be held at Wisneiwaki & Wick Funeral Home September 17th at 1pm.
