Michela Angelina Gregory passed away suddenly on December 2, 2016 at the young age of 20.Michela is survived by her parents, David Gregory Sr. and Kimberly Gregory, her brother David Gregory Jr., her paternal grandparents Hayward and Zita Gregory, and her maternal grandmother Frances Frieholtz.Michela was born on March 14th, 1996 in Redwood City, CA. She grew up in San Bruno and Millbrae and attended Lomita Park Elementary and Taylor Middle School. The family then moved to South San Francisco where she attended South San Francisco High School and was an Honor's student and part of the AVID program. After High School, Michela attended San Francisco State University and was on the honor roll for 3 years. Her major was special education with a minor in communication disorders.Michela began playing softball at the age of 5 and played competitively as a pitcher throughout 3 years of high school. She was a caregiver to everyone and she loved helping kids. She worked first and played later. Michela was a very responsible young adult. She worked at Urban Outfitters in the Fillmore District of San Francisco and at Duggan's Mortuary. Her favorite color was green—she loved green. Michela loved her longtime boyfriend Alex. She loved llamas and felt they were the "forgotten ones." She loved to collect socks and collected them from all of the places she travelled. She often asked her family to bring her socks in place of other gifts when they travelled. Michela shared a special bond with her brother David Jr. They both supported each other in all their endeavors.Friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 17th , 2016 at 11:00am at St. Robert's Catholic Church, 1380 Crystal Springs Rd., San Bruno. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, a Michela Gregory Scholarship Foundation has been set up at Citibank, 1000 Broadway, Millbrae, CA 94030.
