Michael Petitfrere my father, your brother, your uncle, your cousin, and your friend was a force to be reckoned with. Born the 1st twin August 25th the year 1968 in St.Louis-du-Nord, Haiti. Everywhere Michael went he was recognized for his strong demeanor and ability to own one’s attention. When he spoke his words were felt as sharp as the edge of a piece of steel.
However, even with him being the man we all knew was not to be taken lightly he was as gentle as a dove with the women in his life. Especially with his 4 daughters Anastazia 25, Meline -Mereil 12, and Marryanne 10. They will all tell you that he adored them. They will tell you that he made them feel secure and he was their safety blanket. They will speak boldly of the provider that he was for his family; even raising the last 3 girls as a single father who didn’t complain. His nieces, would tell you that. They could speak to him about anything, at anytime and without judgement. We just all knew that we better be prepared for the truthful, heartfelt, fatherly guidance he would give. And we embraced him with everything he was.
Michael faced some life altering health changes that shifted his daily movements. Even then, that didn’t stop him from being a father to his girls. Or an uncle to absorb guidance from, or a brother to talk too. He was still all the things we needed him to be.
He is survived by his 4 girls Anastazia, Meline, Mereil, and Marryanne. His twin brother Jack and his family. His late brother Lucksons children and their growing families. He is survived by all the memories we share of him.
At this time, I’d like you to remember michael as the man he “was” and not how he eventually succumbed to his health declination. Remember him STRONG, remember him BOLD, remember HONEST, remember him in Love.
Remember him WHOLE.
Thank you for your time and coming out to say goodbye for the final time.
Love
