MICHAEL "MIKE" MODICA, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 at his home. Mike was born on Feb. 17, 1946. Mike is survived by his wife of 17 years, Janie; beloved canine, Prince; his children, Mark (Maureen), Melissa "Missy", Andrew "Drew"; step-daughters, Sara and Emily McCue; granddaughters, Sierra, Maddie and Allie; and two great-grandchildren; nephew, Ryan Messmann; his beloved "Aunt Betty", Uncle Joe and Aunt Mary Lou Modica; and cousins, David Modica, and Rich (Shelia) Modica. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Grace; sister, Barb; and brother, Patrick. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at St. Charles Borromeo Church on Trier Road, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at D.O. McCombs & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with Rosary at 4:30 p.m. Burial will follow at the Catholic Cemetery on Lake Avenue.
