On May 31st, 2024 at 2:23 pm, Michael Joseph Blake Mapes was pronounced brain dead at Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Weld County, Greeley Colorado; while traveling for work with Paul Reed Construction.
Michael was born in Vallejo California, September 22nd 1996 at 3:38 am. Weighing in at 5 pounds 1 ounce and 18 3/4 inches long. At the age of 6, Michael became a resident of Scottsbluff County.
Michaels life was full of so many accomplishments. From always having the biggest and sweetest smile, to having the biggest ears; his mother's little dumbo and anothers peas and carrots. To being a star athlete throughout his entire school career, still holding track and field. Along with cross country records in gering school district. Michael put his all into everything he had ever done, beaming with pride. He was the hardest worker.
Michael was always there for his children, his wife, friends and numerous family members. He was an impeccable son, brother, father, uncle, husband, cousin and friend. Keeping them as close as he could to protect and help them.
Unforgettable, strong, thoughtful, passionate, stubborn, prideful, collector of things that didn't belong to him; such as his mother's skin products and his fathers tools. His culinary skills where a sight to see, if only you had the stomach.
