Michael Cay WallaceRedding, CAMichael was born on May 14th, 1951 in Los Angeles, Ca to Lloyd and Mary Wallace. His journey ended after a battle with lung cancer on December 29, 2016. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Michael grew up in Chino and graduated from Chino High School in 1969. He joined the Navy and served on the USS Preble stationed at Pearl Harbor. Upon leaving the Navy he choose the trade of meat cutting. He then met his best friend and partner for life, Roberta Chacon and married in 1976. Looking for a better place to raise his family they settled in Redding in 1978. Mike was a member of the UFCW and worked for many stores finalizing his career at Raleys. Mike accepted all that needed him and respected people for who they were. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Roberta, son's: Ian (Melissa), Nathan (Samantha) and Spencer. Granddaughters Sara and Jade. Sisters Theresa Hernandez, Judy (Frank) Castro, Carole (Jeff) Wilhelm, brother Patrick (Fred.) Mother in law Eugenia Chacon and sister in law Carolyn (David) Jarrett. He also leaves many dear friends and family. Arrangements are being held at Allen & Dahl on Eureka Way. Burial will be at Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo on Friday, January 13th at 12:30pm.
