Taylor, Sr., Michael BurkeMichael Burke Taylor, Sr., 67, a resident of Binghamton, NY passed away on September 22, 2017 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis. He was born on November 11, 1949 in Washington DC, where he was raised, and attended St. Francis de Sales School, Montgomery Blair High School and Montgomery Community College. He previously lived in Silver Spring, MD, Frederick, MD and Ocean City MD.Michael was employed with McGraw Hill in Washington DC as a Technical Writer and later Technical Editor, Owned the Sportsman's Lounge in Ocean City, MD, Field Service Technician for Trans-Lux Corporation and most recently was a self-employed purveyor of digital signs and scoreboards.He loved everything electronic and computer related.Michael was kind and generous with his time and skills and was always there when a friend or neighbor needed him. He was often a hero. He had a calm and gentle soul that shined kindness on everyone he met. His humorous charm was infectious and many enjoyed his jokes and stories. He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Anne Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sylvia R. Taylor of Binghamton, NY; two sons, Michael B. Taylor, Jr. of Pasadena, MD and Paul A. Taylor of Binghamton, NY; daughter-in-law, Stacey R. Taylor of Pasadena, MD; Brother John W. Taylor, Jr. of Edgewater, MD; two sisters, Mary Theberge of Defuniak Springs, FL and Grace Jean Taylor of Appomattox, VA; and five grandchildren, Calla, Reagan, Zak, Delaney and Jay.Friends may visit on Friday September 29, 2017 from 11 AM - 12 PM at Barranco & Sons, P.A.
