Mercedes "Meche" Maria Galvan, 64, of Soledad passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015.

She lived in Monterey County for 50 years. She worked as a librarian at the King City Library for over 21 years. She was a member of the San Pablo de Colores Federation.

She was preceded in death by her parents Bonifacio and Maria Paula Galvan, brother Jose Bonifacio Galvan, sister Modesta Longoria.

Mercedes is survived by sisters Armandina Galvan of Laredo, Texas, Teresa Galvan of Soledad, Maria de Jesus Morales of Gonzales, Maria Luisa Gomez of Soledad, Paula Lopez of Greenfield, Juana Lara of Soledad, Guadalupe Espinosa of San Jose, Maria Oshkeshequoam of Soledad, Esmeralda Medeiros of Soledad; brothers Jose Luis Galvan and Sergio Galvan both of Soledad.
