Melvin Powell passed away peacefully on

October 21,2024 at the age of 82. Mel was

born on November 11, 1941, in Visalia CA to

Chester and Irene Powell.

Mel is now reunited in heaven to his wife

Ruth Powell of 47 years. He is survived by

his children: Kim and Phillip Alvarez of Merced.

Mel and Inez Powell of Modesto.

Serena and Jason Kelly of Sonora:

his 13 grandchildren: Nick, Jherrica, Sierriah,

Tabitha, Talia, Trinity, Jada, Jacob, Janette,

Isabelle, Micah, Matteo, and Maya

as well as his 7 great grandchildren.

Melvin will be laid to rest on Friday,

November 08 , 11am at Lakewood Memorial

Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson CA 95326.
