Melvin Grady Sr, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on January 7, 2025 in his hometown of Pontiac, Michigan at the age of 64.
He was born on June 7, 1960 to Kenneth Grady Sr and Patricia Reeves-Grady. Melvin married the love of his life, Tara Mason-Grady, in 1984 and they were blessed with four children: Melvin Jr, Gennine, Samuel, and April.
After graduating from Frank W. Ballou SHS in 1970, Melvin went on to attend Howard University, where he earned his degree in 1975. He worked at Amtrak for many years before retiring in 2001.
Melvin had a zest for life and enjoyed spending his free time fishing and traveling with his family. He was a devoted grandfather to his eight grandchildren and always had a joke or a funny story to share.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
