It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melodie Jane (Bostic) Lewis; a beloved mother , grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Melodie passed away suddenly at the age of 67 at St.Vincent hospital Toledo, Ohio.
Born on June 28, 1957 - Melodie was one of 6 children born to Emerson and Charlotte Bostic of Franklin, Ohio. Raised in southern Ohio Melodie was a homemaker spending most her time with her family. She had a passion for country music and travel. She was a talented seamstress and skilled in crochet, knitting, crafting and a beautiful artist. She surrounded herself with her children and grandchildren at every opportunity.
She is survived by her three daughters: Michelle (Lewis) Rangel and her husband Ricardo Rangel, Heather (Lewis) Kolodziejski and her husband Mark Kolodziejski, and Amanda (Lewis) Redmon. Her 6 grandchildren- -Britnee (James) LaFayette, Seaira (Rangel) Massingill, Mikenzy Bourbina, Javen Rangel, Kamdyn Secord, Oliver Redmon and her great - granddaughter Willow LaFayette.
She is preceeded in death by her Father Emerson Bostic, Mother Charlotte (Tate) Bostic, Brothers Jackie, David and Danny Bostic and sister Charlene (Bostic) Fugate. She is survived by her youngest brother Timothy Bostic.
Family will be holding a celebration of life at a determined date at North Monroe Street Church of God and traveling to Franklin, Ohio to celebrate with loved ones in her hometown. (dates to be determined)
Melodie will be remembered for her contagious laughter, genuine sweet heart and southern soul. She is loved beyond measure and will live on in the hearts of those who had the honor to know her.
