Maybelle M. Lareau, 101Maybelle M. Lareau, 101, of Iowa City, Iowa, previously Beaverville, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017. She was born on May 31, 1915 in Beaverville, IL, the daughter of Ernest Doris and Cecelia (Castongia) Doris. Maybelle married Marsile Lareau on January 14, 1936 in Beaverville. He passed in 1968. She later married Philip Lareau in San Antonio, TX on January 9, 1980. He has since passed. Mrs. Lareau was a home maker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, working outside with the garden and flowers, as well as doing crossword puzzles. She was also a passionate CUBS fan and BEARS fan.Surviving Mrs. Lareau are her sons and daughter-in-law, Bernie Lareau of San Antonio, TX, and Joseph and Patricia Lareau of Rantoul, IL; daughter, Barbara Boudreau of Iowa City, IA; step-sons, Jeep Varboncoeur of St. Anne, IL, Dean and Rhonda Lareau of Aroma Park, IL, and Marty and Carol Lareau of Beaverville, IL; step-daughters, Mary and Bob Rundle of Bradley, IL, and Jo Anne Lareau-Arseneau, of Beaverville, IL; sister-in-law, Bernice Doris of Tennessee; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Marsile and Philip; two step-daughters; one step-son; four brothers; and two sisters.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 4 to 7pm, at Baier Funeral Home in Watseka, IL. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11:00 am, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Beaverville, IL. Father Dan Belanger will officiate. Burial will follow on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at 10:00 am.Memorials in Mrs. Lareau's name can be made to St. Mary's Restoration Fund or Donor's Choice.
