Maxine Ellen (Troutman) Fox, age 92, of Sigel, PA, passed away at the Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital on Thursday, December 3, 2015. She was born on December 28, 1923 to the late Joseph and Luella (Pierce) Troutman, in Knoxdale, PA. On September 19, 1941, she married John D. Fox in Sigel, PA. They were married for just under 64 years before Johns passing on August 23, 2005. She knew John was her soul mate from the first time she laid eyes on him, and before she had actually met him. She retired as a supervisor from ACME Electric in Salamanca, NY. She was a member of the Sigel United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Maxine loved to win at cards. She loved her family and enjoyed being able to cook for them. She was a lover of animals and had many pets throughout the years and is survived by her most recent pet, Ming. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting as a pass time. Maxine was a canner of all kinds of foods but she very much enjoyed dinning out as well. She will be missed by all those who knew her. She is survived by many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by all 5 of her siblings. Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 7, 2015, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Mains St., Brookville PA, 15825. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, also at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, beginning at 1pm, with the Rev. Gary Sheesley officiating. Interment will take place at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Eldred Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
