MAX Franklin HEDRICKMax Franklin Hedrick (82) of Ellensburg passed away August 2, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.He was the seventh of eight children born on July 24, 1933 to William and Ruth Hedrick. As a young man, he joined the National Guard and in 1951 he married the love of his life Helen Lorraine Kontos. Max worked hard all his life for his family, logging for Leo Rugh and Lo Driver prior to owning Hedrick and Son Logging Co. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and helping his son build a beautiful log cabin in Idaho. Max loved people. He enjoyed and treated everyone as family, welcoming them into his home. He will be truly missed.He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen of Ellensburg; loving children, Debbie of Gresham, Oregon, Marcia Hedrick and Max Shawn Hedrick (Camie) of Ellensburg; five grandchildren: Max Brauc Hedrick (Valerie), Beau Hedrick (Jacquie), Bridget Mitchell (Randy), Keri Watson, Ryan Watson, seven great-grandchildren, one sister Eva Roussan of Ellensburg and many children that considered him as a father (then grandfather) figure. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Wade, Jim, Aileen, Ashley, Eloise and Charlene.A celebration of Max's life will be held Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the American Legion in Ellensburg from noon to 5pm.The family is asking in lieu of flowers to please donate in memory of Max to: Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd, S.W.
