It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of **Maverick Wright**, a loving father, devoted son, caring sibling, and loyal friend. Maverick departed this life on **March 16, 2025**, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Born on **September 30, 1982**, in **Gadsden, Alabama**, Maverick was the beloved son of **Maverick Lee Scott and Karen Shropshire**. He was a dear brother to **Alex Wright, James Shropshire, Iesha Cooper, Latisa Witherspoon, and Cassandra Starr**, who will forever hold him in their hearts.

A proud graduate of **Cherokee County High School (Class of 2001)**, Maverick enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially **fishing, basketball, and spending time with his family**. His greatest joy was being a father to his children: **Maverick Wright Jr., Tatiyna Wright, Cameron Anderson, He was also a proud grandparent to **Jamari, Jaliyah, and Jayden**, who brought him endless happiness.

Maverick’s warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on through the lives he touched.
