Maurice PepinMelbourneMaurice Rodolphe Pepin, formerly of Dracut, MA, died peacefully on September 23 in Melbourne, Florida. He was born on June 24, 1927 in Lowell, MA to Rodolphe and Edith Pepin. He completed his undergraduate studies at the New England Conservatory of Music and earned a Master's Degree from Boston University, where he met his wife of 65 years, Diana Supple. Maurice served in the
US Navy for one year. He had a long and fruitful career as a music teacher and Director of Music for the Dracut Public School system. During his retirement in Florida, he was an organist at the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic, a volunteer with the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra in Cocoa, and a member of the Gem Society in Melbourne. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Frederic (Denise) Pepin of Franklin, TN, Denise (Alex) de la Cal of Coral Springs, FL, Jerome (Christine) Pepin of Melbourne Beach, FL, Julie (Jeff) Kirsch of Tewksbury, MA, Aurelie (Tom) Teebagy of Concord, MA, Felicia Clegg of Indialantic, FL, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also, he is survived by his sister, Adrienne Pallotta of Methuen, MA, sister-in-law Joan Green of N. Weymouth, MA and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Maurice was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Denise Pepin, and two grandchildren, Matthew Clegg, and Marisa Pepin.Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects from 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Beach Funeral Home-East, Indian Harbour Beach. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic. Memorial donations may be made in Maurice's name to the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra.A celebration of life will take place in Massachusetts at a later date.
