It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maurice Edwards, who left this world on June 10, 2024, in Lufkin, Texas. Born on July 29, 1946, in San Augustine, Texas Maurice lived a life full of adventure and laughter.

Maurice was a proud graduate of San Augustine High School and went on to work at the Railroad for many years. He had a passion for fishing and hunting, which brought him joy and relaxation throughout his life.

He leaves behind his loving partner, Elizabeth Edwards, their four children, and ten cherished grandchildren to carry on his memory. Maurice will be remembered for his sense of humor, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family.

In his honor, let's share a joke, cast a line, or raise a toast to the man who brought so much light into the lives of those around him. Maurice may be gone, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
